Using space technology to report fires
The camera on this fire watch tower, maintained by the Brandenburg state forestry office, keeps a watchful eye on the environment and analyses signs of smoke with far greater precision than the human eye. DLR developed the technology 20 years ago, as part of the European Rosetta mission.
