Agreement reached for new X-band satellite mission
The German twin radar satellites TerraSAR-X and TanDEM-X have created a highly accurate, 3-D model of Earth. The additional bandwidth granted at the World Radiocommunication Conference in Geneva means that, in future, Earth will be observed with greater precision.
