Artist’s impression of Sentinel-1B
Once Sentinel-1B has been commissioned, it will monitor the Earth day and night together with its twin satellite, Sentinel 1A. They will provide data for climate research, maritime safety and environmental protection. The satellites travel on the same orbit, but offset by 180 degrees.
