The sensors on the DLR BO 105 helicopter are used among others for the VABENE ++ DLR project. For the PHAROS testing, the helicopter flew over the fire area. The sensor supplied high-resolution, georeferenced aerial images for large areas which were transferred within seconds to ground stations.
