Mars, between 20 and 70 degrees east
This global view of Mars shows the area imaged by the High Resolution Stereo Camera in June 2019 along the 40th eastern line of longitude, which runs almost through the middle of the image. The view of the planet is slightly ‘tilted’ to the south, allowing the North Pole to be seen, while it only extends to 40 degrees south, so that the South Pole is not visible.
