Ariane 6 upper stage in its container
The first upper stage of Europe's new Ariane 6 launcher, referred to as the Hot Firing Model (HFM), has left the ArianeGroup factory in Bremen. Packed into a transport container that is 14 metres long, almost seven metres wide and six metres high, the HFM is now on its way to DLR's Lampoldshausen site, where it will undergo extensive hot-fire testing in the P5.2 test rig.
