German ESA astronaut Matthias Maurer (left) and his French fellow ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet carried out a lot of preparation activities together, including sampling and selecting food to eat on the ISS. Thomas Pesquet has given Matthias Maurer some of his French food and the German astronaut will offer him some delicacies from the German Saarland region when they are together on the ISS.
