MetabolicSpace – training during an experiment
While Matthias Maurer trains on the CEVIS sports device, he wears a mask for respiratory gas analysis with the German experiment MetabolicSpace. The new wireless device measures certain parameters in the astronauts’ exhaled breath. This makes it possible to monitor the training without hindering the astronaut. At the same time, important data on performance and metabolism can be obtained.
