Hayabusa2's return cruise to Earth
On 13 November 2019, the Japanese asteroid spacecraft Hayabusa2 set off on its return cruise from asteroid Ryugu to Earth. After orbiting the Sun, Hayabusa2 released the return capsule containing the samples from asteroid Ryugu on 5 December 2020. The capsule landed safely on the same day in central Australia.
