The SuperLIGHT-CAR prototype saves 35 percent in weight in comparison to the reference structure. This ambitious target was achieved by 37 partners in research and in the vehicle and component supply industries, from nine European countries, in the EU SuperLIGHT-CAR project. With the front-end structure, which achieves a weight saving of more than 30 percent, DLR made a significant contribution to the overall concept.
