Measurement flight over Sal, Cabo Verde
Low stratus clouds over the region of the Cabo Verdean island of Sal. These stratus clouds form below an altitude of approximately two kilometres and do not continue to grow upwards. The image was taken on board the DLR research aircraft HALO during a measurement flight to validate the EarthCARE observation satellite.
