Deformation behaviour
The deformation behaviour of the aircraft designs with conventional (left) and aggressive load alleviation (right) during cruise flight (1g) and during a pull-up manoeuvre (2.5g). The loads during the pull-up manoeuvre are reduced to nearly the same level as the loads during cruise flight, as evidenced by the deformation patterns.
