PLATO raised upright after transport
On 1 September 2025, PLATO arrived at ESA's ESTEC facility in the Netherlands. There, the probe was taken out of its container in the cleanroom and moved into a protective tent that supplies clean air to safeguard the sensitive instruments and cameras of the space telescope. After being transported in a horizontal position, the spacecraft's 26 cameras were raised into a vertical orientation.
