The DLR Institute of Air Transport, the DLR Institute of Flight Guidance and the renowned MIT Lincoln Laboratory have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the DLR site in Hamburg-Harburg to formalise their joint research efforts. The document lays the foundation for a long-term collaboration in the fields of flight operations and air traffic management (ATM), with a focus on application-oriented cooperative research and the development of new technologies.
Focus on Technology and Systems Development
MIT Lincoln Laboratory is an internationally recognised research and development centre dedicated to the advancement of cutting-edge technologies to meet critical security needs. In addition to long-term technology development, the institute particularly emphasises rapid prototyping. The goal of the collaboration with DLR is to create synergies and develop innovative solutions for the aviation of the future.
