Design for the next generation of fighter aircraft
Diabolo is a DLR project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Defence in the Defence Technology research field. The aim is to further develop technologies for the design and performance determination of next-generation fighter configurations. The activities range from aerodynamics, structural analysis and aeroelasticity to control system design, the determination of a control concept and flight mechanics analysis to the selection of a propulsion concept and the determination of radar, infrared and acoustic signature characteristics.
