The German astronauts Klaus-Dietrich Flade (right) and Reinhold Ewald (back-up) during the training for the mission MIR'92 in the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center near Moscow. Twenty five years ago - from 17 to 25 March 1992 - Flade was as a science cosmonaut on the Russian space station. Five years later, in 1997, Reinhold Ewald was a German cosmonaut on the Mir.
