Stiffened panels of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP)

Stiffened panels of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP)
Stiffened panels of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) are used to investigate the stability behaviour (buckling and post-buckling) of typical primary structures in aerospace technology, such as fuselages. The panels are considered as representative structural parts and subjected to in-plane loading conditions such as axial compression and shear and a combination of both. The objective is to analyse the load-bearing behaviour of a panel, the extent to which the structure can be loaded in the post-buckling range without damage, and the manner in which the structural element eventually fails.
