Floating research – Astronaut Alexander Gerst
During his mission to the ISS, which will last from May to November 2014, German ESA Astronaut Alexander Gerst will perform an experiment from the 'Aktion 42' design competition. The German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the European Space Agency (ESA), together with the Youth Research Foundation, put out a nationwide call to students from 15 years to participate in 'Aktion 42' with their idea.
