Picture-perfect launch by TEXUS 53 on 23 January 2016, in Kiruna
At a frosty minus 30 degrees Celsius, but with clear and calm weather conditions, the DLR TEXUS 53 sounding rocket was launched according to plan on 23 January 2016 at 09:30 CET from Esrange Space Center in Kiruna, northern Sweden, after just one countdown, and reached an altitude of 253 kilometres. All experiments proceeded nominally according to initial findings.
