From 2021, METimage will be operational on board the MetOp weather satellites of the EUMETSAT Polar System - Second Generation. The new satellite instrument will gather important environmental information at unprecedented levels of accuracy, which will enable significantly more reliable weather and climate forecasts to be produced.
