The DIANE experiment run by the team of students from the Technical University of Dresden is successfully launched on board the REXUS 21 rocket. The team tested a seven-metre-long, rod-shaped antenna intended to unfold in microgravity during the flight. The dynamic flight behaviour of the antenna was observed with a camera. The antenna also sent a signal that amateur radio enthusiasts in northern Europe should have been able to receive. Next, the students will evaluate the data acquired during the experiment.
