P8 test rig at the DLR Institute of Space Propulsion
On the P8, DLR scientists are investigating the behaviour of high-energy fuels. In particular, the highly complex combustion and fuel transport processes in the combustion chamber are to be improved and the corresponding technologies developed further. In the spring of 2016, the test facility was expanded so that it is now also possible to test ethanol as a fuel here.
