Plasmas are electrically conductive gases. In space, plasma is the normal state, whereas on Earth plasmas are used in fluorescent lamps and for integrated circuit production, among other applications. During DLR’s 34th parabolic flight campaign, scientists from the University of Greifswald investigated the behaviour of dusty plasmas in microgravity.
