Air traffic controller during a Continuous Descent Approach (CDA) simulation

Air traffic controller during a Continuous Descent Approach (CDA) simulation
A Continuous Descent Approach (CDA) system, which offers a noise reduction of between three and five decibels and fuel savings of up to 500 kilograms per landing, was tested with the help of eight qualified air traffic controllers at the simulation facilities of the Institute of Flight Guidance in Braunschweig. The system was well received by the air traffic controllers, who evaluated it as helpful and easy-to-use.
