Green auroras
Green auroras are observed in a very narrow altitude range, approximately 100 to 120 kilometres above Earth, where a particularly high number of oxygen atoms are excited. Due to their short lifespan and the limited altitude range in which they occur, green auroras generally appear to be more intense than red ones.
