ReFEx is shown here as a sectional view, which reveals the very high integration density of the system. In an operational reusable space transport system, most of the volume would be taken up by tanks. Here, however, the size has been reduced to what is necessary for the most important systems in order to launch on a small, cost-effective DLR-owned carrier.
