ASME Turbo Expo Turbomachinery Technical Conference & Exposition

ASME Turbo Expo

The institute will once again be presenting its latest research findings on low-emission combustion and sustainable fuels for aviation at the international ASME Turbo Expo trade fair, which takes place in London from June 24 to 28. The conference will focus on the achievements and challenges of the net-zero transformation in aviation and the energy sector.

On this year’s ASME Turbo Expo our institute is represented with six presentations highlighting research on different aspects of liquid fuel combustion. This addresses different topics such as own injector development, and collaborative activities with gas turbine or liquid fuel manufacturers. Tackled phenomena are pollutant formation, spray and wall film characterization, and combustor performance analyses. Our efforts in optimizing hydrogen combustion in gas turbines is represented in one contribution together with partners from industry and academia. We are looking forward to stimulating discussions. The full conference program is available here.
