In 2025, we once again took part in the City Cycling ('Stadtradeln') campaign. Over five months, teams from 18 DLR sites were actively out cycling – sending a clear signal in support of sustainability, health and bicycle mobility.
City Cycling – Cycling for a better climate

Klima-Bündnis Services
In total, approximately 500 DLR cyclists covered more than 100,000 kilometres. Thanks to these collaborative efforts, nearly 17 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions were saved compared to average car use. The result represents a significant contribution to climate protection and demonstrates the great impact that a collective switch from fossil-fuelled transport to more climate-compatible alternatives can have.

Looking ahead to 2026 – expanding infrastructure and mobility options
To further encourage our employees' efforts, bicycle servicing days are planned at many sites in the coming year. In addition, cycling infrastructure at our sites – such as charging lockers for e-bikes and secure parking facilities – will continue to be expanded.
Last but not least, we also plan to take part in the Stadtradeln campaign again next year, with the goal of possibly surpassing our distance covered from 2025.
