Guided tour of DLR-site Göttingen

The German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR) in Göttingen offers interested groups the opportunity to learn more about DLR and its research. After a brief introduction to DLR in general and to the location Göttingen, we will have a look to selected institutes/facilities which are available on the requested date.

An overview of the most important points

  • The tours are free and take about two hours.
  • They take place only after prior registration and appointment.
  • The tours take place in German, or in English by prior arrangement.
  • Guided tours can generally be organized Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • For organizational reasons, max. 20 people take part in a guided tour.
  • The names of the participants must be communicated in advance of the tour.
  • The participants must be at least 16 years old. The DLR_School_Lab is happy to be the contact for children and teenagers.
  • The DLR is a research facility. Please note that our site is extensive and not barrier-free and some stairs have to be overcome. The tour must be done on foot. There is no seating during the tour.

Legal notice for visitors

The guided tours offered by DLR must in no way be involved with any commercial activity or offer. DLR reserves the right to make changes to the programme or to reschedule visits at any time if internal procedures so require. DLR will of course inform any groups affected by rescheduling as early as possible. Registration does not entitle groups in any way to be given a guided tour in a specific form or on a specific date. In this respect, DLR wishes to emphasise that any costs that may be incurred as a consequence, such as cancellation fees etc., cannot be refunded.

We would also like to point out that photography and filming are prohibited on the premises of DLR Göttingen.
