Condensation trails and cirrus clouds

Condensation trails and cirrus clouds
Researchers at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) have, for the first time, developed a method to determine the climatic effect of aviation in terms of contrails and the consequent formation of clouds. The data analysis shows that aircraft condensation trails and the clouds that form from them may be causing more warming today than all the aircraft-emitted carbon dioxide accumulated in the atmosphere since the start of aviation.
