At the QUARZ® Center of DLR's Institute of Solar Research in Cologne, the performance of receivers and mirrors for solar power plants is tested. The lamp-powered ElliRec test facility at the new test and qualification center (QUARZ) simulates sunlight and examines how effectively absorber tubes can convert this light into heat.
