15-part atlas scheme for Saturn’s large ice moons
The sheet scheme for mapping the ice moons was defined according to a standard reference work by two US-scientists who at the end of the eighties specified precisely what planetary sections should look like. Three sectional layouts proved suitable for Saturn’s satellites: Enceladus, Tethys, Dione and Rhea are shown on 15 maps each, like in this example, Mimas and Iapetus on three sheets, and Phoebe is shown just on one map. Phoebe is located at the farthest distance from Saturn and was only visited once by Cassini in a flyby at the start of the mission.
