Ceres – Global view and gravitational field
With a diameter of almost 1000 kilometres, Ceres is the largest body in the asteroid belt. NASA's Dawn spacecraft explored the dwarf planet between March 2015 and October 2018. In addition to the global image data (left) obtained, the mission made it possible to measure Ceres' gravitational field (right). A positive gravity anomaly is clearly visible in the area of Ahuna Mons (white).
