Microgas turbines – emerging technology with high potential
Microgas turbines are at the heart of the Decentralised Energy Technology Platform at the DLR site in Stuttgart. The aim is to develop and test decentralised energy supply concepts that are suitable for everyday use. Manfred Aigner (Director of the DLR Institute of Combustion Technology, right) explains the components of such a microgas turbine (from left to right: Professor Karsten Lemmer, DLR Board Member for Innovation, Transfer and Research Infrastructure; Anke Kovar, Head of DLR’s Stuttgart site; Katrin Schütz, State Secretary at the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics, Labour and Tourism).
