The DESTINY + Dust Analyzer (DDA) is the mission’s main instrument. It will collect and analyse cosmic dust samples during the entire mission. This cross-sectional view shows the input grid for particle selection and direction (dark blue), the ion detector for measuring the mass spectra of the particles (light blue) and the dual-axis mechanism for instrument orientation (green).
