Generic wind tunnel model of a hypersonic glider behind the observation window of the RWG
The optical accessibility of the RWG is realised by two concentrically arranged windows, each with a diameter of 320 mm, which are mounted on both sides of the measuring section. Optionally, these can be replaced by a special germanium window of the same size, which enables quantitative heat flux density measurements on model surfaces using infrared thermography.
