Mastcam-Z
The two identical cameras of Mastcam-Z shortly before their first tests at Malin Space Science Systems, in San Diego, California. The pocketknife in the picture on the left demonstrates the size. The cameras are located at the top of the Perseverance rover’s remote sensing mast. From there, Mastcam-Z can capture 360-degree panoramas in 3D, mosaics, still images and videos of the Martian surface in visible colours.
