Development of cost-effective storage concepts
The development of cost-effective storage concepts is a prerequisite for the success of the energy transition. At the Institute of Engineering Thermodynamics, DLR scientists are researching electrical, chemical and thermal storage technologies. Together with the HOTREG test facility, for example, they are studying heat storage materials and storage concepts in the temperature range from 20 to 850 degrees Celsius.
