Final launch preparations for Europa Clipper
Engineers and technicians work on the towering main body of NASA's Europa Clipper spacecraft in the historic Spacecraft Assembly Facility at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California. Standing three metres tall and 1.5 metres wide, the core of the spacecraft is the centre of attention in the facility's High Bay 1 clean room, as it is complet-ed before its launch to Jupiter's moon Europa in October 2024. Onboard will be nine sci-entific instruments, as well as an experiment to study Europa's gravitational field. The ten experiments will collect data on the moon's atmosphere, surface and interior.
