Head-down transport
The participants remain stationed at the :envihab aerospace medicine research facility for a duration of 88 days. During this time, they are transported from their quarters to various examinations and experiments while positioned in a head-down position on stretchers. The dedicated SMC study research team provides continuous care and oversight for these ground-based astronauts throughout their stay.
