Intuitive Machines' IM-2 lunar lander, Athena
The Nova-C-class lunar lander Athena, developed by the diversified space exploration company Intuitive Machines, will carry scientific experiments, technology demonstrations and other commercial payloads to the vicinity of the Moon’s south pole as part of NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) initiative. The launch is scheduled from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on 27 February. The landing module stands approximately three metres tall.
