DLR and ArianeGroup renew framework cooperation

The German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR) and ArianeGroup renewed their framework cooperation on 10 June 2026 at the International Aerospace Exhibition (ILA) in Berlin. The agreement was signed by Anke Kaysser-Pyzalla, Chair of the DLR Executive Board, and Karsten Lemmer, DLR Executive Board Member for Innovation, Transfer and Research Infrastructure, together with Pierre Godart, CEO of ArianeGroup, and Jens Franzeck, ArianeGroup's Chief Operating Officer (COO).
The framework agreement between DLR and ArianeGroup has been in place since December 2017. It brings together the research and development work of both organisations in the fields of launch systems and propulsion technologies, aligning them towards the shared goal of ensuring independent European access to space. The industrial company ArianeGroup is a strategic partner of space research at DLR. The two organisations share a longstanding and close collaboration, which has now been extended to the field of security and defence research.
