Main components of CALLISTO
CALLISTO consists of five main structures: nose cone, avionics bay, liquid oxygen tank, liquid hydrogen tank and tail payload bay. Two deployable systems developed and provided by DLR – an aerodynamic flight control system and an approach and landing system – are particularly relevant for a reusable rocket stage.
