Simulated processes at Zurich airport
The new taxiway is tested in both winter and summer conditions. Air traffic controllers have to tackle various scenarios – from scheduled air traffic to complex exceptional cases. Whether there is a defect in the aircraft landing gear or an aborted take-off, all scenarios are analysed by the DLR team and discussed with controllers in order to compile suggestions for improvement.
