'Urban Liner' by the Technical University of Munich
With their 'Urban Liner', the Munich-based team have designed an unusual-looking aircraft with a hybrid propulsion system. Its most striking feature is the single engine, which is mounted at the tail between the tail surfaces. If the students have their way, fuel consumption should be halved and nitrogen oxide emissions reduced by as much as 80 per cent.
