Preparing the instruments
Before deployment, the measuring instruments are carefully cleaned. Here, researchers are preparing the Cloud Imaging Probe (CIP), which is part of the CAPS instrument (Cloud, Aerosol and Precipitation Spectrometer). This instrument measures aerosols and cloud particles in the size range of 0.5 to 1550 micrometres.
