Ready for take-off – DLR's Dornier 228-212 and Cessna 208B Grand Caravan research aircraft
During the four-month measurement campaign, two DLR research aircraft were deployed, each equipped with different instruments. The Dornier Do 228-212 (left) carried the F-SAR radar system from DLR's Microwaves and Radar Institute. The Cessna 208B Grand Caravan (right) flew with the HySpex hyperspectral camera system from DLR's Earth Observation Center. This photo shows both aircraft shortly before take-off at DLR's flight operations facility in Oberpfaffenhofen.
