Anaglyph images can be generated with the nadir channel (which looks directly down at the Martian surface) of the HRSC camera system, operated by DLR on ESA's Mars Express spacecraft, and one of the four stereo channels with an oblique viewing angle. These images, when viewed with red-blue or red-green glasses, provide a three-dimensional view of the landscape. This enables topographic features to be studied, such as flow structures in the deep rifts of Acheron Fossae.
