Voyager 1 and 2
The two identical Voyager spacecraft were launched in 1977 and reached Jupiter in March 1979 (Voyager 1) and July 1979 (Voyager 2). Both spacecraft continued on to Saturn; Voyager 2 also passed the planets Uranus and Neptune on its 'Grand Tour' through the Solar System. Today, both spacecraft are more than 20 billion kilometres away from the Sun.
