3D-printed turbine blades

In this project, Systemhaus Technik is collaborating with five DLR institutes from the field of aeronautics to develop specially coated turbine components. The primary responsibility of this project lies with the DLR Institute of Propulsion Technology. DLR's expertise in new materials, design, component manufacturing, testing and evaluation are being integrated and advanced through the development of a turbine guide blade.

3D-printed flow through nacelle

In the ADaMant project, Systemhaus Technik is collaborating with the DLR Institute of Aerodynamics and Flow Technology on flow simulations to support low-emission aircraft design. The aim of the project is to develop and validate physical models that enable highly accurate flow simulations, extending to the boundaries of the flight envelope.

Fibre composite components for a glider

In the HAP project, Systemhaus Technik is supporting the new interdisciplinary theme of 'digitalisation in industry' for the first time. Fourteen institutes from the fields of aeronautics, space and security are involved, with primary responsibility resting with the DLR Institute of Flight Systems. HAP aims to develop a solar-powered, high-altitude, uncrewed platform and the associated advanced sensor and communication systems, with plans to demonstrate these innovations in flight tests.

Test setup for wind tunnel model

Together with eight DLR institutes from the field of aeronautics, Systemhaus Technik has set the goal of developing a validated design for a low-emission medium-haul aircraft. Research is underway to identify the component technologies required to ensure the aircraft remains as quiet as possible without sacrificing efficiency. The DLR Institute of Aerodynamics and Flow Technology has primary responsibility for this project.
